Teralytics AG and its subsidiaries Teralytics Inc., Teralytics Pte. Ltd. and Teralytics GmbH (“Teralytics,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) are committed to handling information responsibly and in compliance with applicable privacy and data protection laws. We are a technology company that works with wireless carriers and other data suppliers to provide aggregated insights to various clients mainly in the mobility, transportation and smart cities sectors (collectively, our “Services”).

This Privacy Notice describes how we collect and use information in connection with providing our Services and in operating our Websites. The Notice also describes the choices you have regarding this collection and use.

INFORMATION ABOUT OUR WEBSITES

This section describes how we handle personal information on our websites, including http://www.teralytics.net (collectively, our “Websites”).

PROVISION OF SERVICES VIA OUR WEBSITES. You may be required to provide name, surname, email address and a password (or other credentials) in order to access our Services. We will use this information solely for the purpose of providing you with our Services and contacting you regarding our Services.

COMMUNICATION WITH US. If you contact us using contact details provided through our Websites, we may require you to provide basic details (name, surname, email, phone number or alike). We will use this information only for the purpose of processing your request.

GOOGLE ANALYTICS. We use Google Analytics (Google Inc.) to examine the use of our Websites. We do not disclose any information to Google Analytics that Google could use or recognize as personally identifiable information. If you do not wish for your data to be collected by Google Analytics or wish to suspend certain uses outlined in the Google Privacy Policy, please visit the Google Opt-Out page. YOUR CHOICE. You can request the information we store about you, request to correct this information and request to delete the information we store about you at any time using the contact information provided below. Please kindly note that the access to our Services as well as the management of your information in relation to the Services may be subject to an applicable legal agreement between us and you and/or your employer or partner.

INFORMATION ABOUT OUR SERVICES

COLLECTION. We partner with wireless carriers (“Carriers”). The Carriers provide us with the following individual level “Carrier Data”:

  1. 1. in Europe – anonymized data about subscribers’ approximate locations;
  2. 2. in the United States – de-identified data about subscribers’ approximate locations, domain data (i.e., websites like espn.com) and domain category data that cannot be linked back to individuals;
  3. 3. in Singapore – anonymized data and/or data about subscribers which we anonymize on behalf of the carrier before it is processed for the purpose of providing our Services;
  4. 4. In Hong Kong – anonymized data about subscribers’ approximate locations and domain data (i.e., websites like espn.com).

USE. We use the Carrier Data solely for the purpose of providing aggregated and anonymized insights into human mobility to our customers. We may combine Carrier Data with data received from other data suppliers solely for the purpose of providing aggregated insights and in no event for re-identification of subscribers or de-anonymization of anonymized data.

RETENTION. We retain the Carrier Data according to the retention policies that Carriers impose on us as well as according to applicable laws and regulations in each of the jurisdictions.

SHARING. We do not share any individual level data or insights with any of our customers. We may share individual level insights back to the data supplier for the purposes of data quality controlling and/or for other purposes if we are instructed by the data supplier to do so. In the latter case we require from the data supplier that these purposes must be in full compliance with the subscriber’s consent (where required) and applicable laws and regulations. For consent, see the section “Your Choice” below.

RE-IDENIFICATION. We do not attempt to determine the identities of individual subscribers associated with the Carrier Data or any other individuals. We implement legal measures and internal policies and procedures that are designed to prevent the identification of subscribers, and we require wireless carriers to take steps that help prevent the identification of subscribers.

We do not seek to collect any information that might directly identify individuals including but not limited to: name, birthdate, phone number, social security number, payment card number or addressWe also do not seek to collect any sensitive information, including but not limited to: health status, medical & genetic information; financial account identifiers; political and religious beliefs and/or affiliations; interest in or use of adult products or services; and illegal activities.

Regardless of the source of the information, if we learn that we have collected information that is sensitive and/or may lead to identification of subscribers, we take reasonable steps to promptly delete the information from our systems.

YOUR CHOICE. We are committed to honouring the data sharing and use agreements and expectations that have been set between our wireless carrier partners and their customers. If you do not wish for your data to be shared with us or wish to suspend certain uses outlined in this Privacy Notice, please visit the privacy policy and account setting sections of your wireless carrier’s website.

INFORMATION RELATING TO JOB APPLICANTS

COLLECTION AND USE FOR EMPLOYMENT PURPOSES. You may voluntarily communicate information about you to Teralytics for potential employment-related purposes, including:

  • to assess your suitability for a role with Teralytics;
  • to negotiate with you and make offers of employment;
  • for your supervision and management; and
  • for any residual employment-related activities in respect of your application or employment.

Teralytics may reach out to reference contacts that you provide to obtain reference information about you regarding your educational background or professional experience.

The information about you that is collected by Teralytics in relation to your application may further be used for internal statistical analysis and reporting purposes.

SHARING OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION. Teralytics may need to share your personal information internally with its subsidiaries and affiliates, which may involve transferring your personal information outside of the country in which it was collected. These recipients of your personal information will process the information about you in accordance with the applicable principles of data protection set by the applicable laws and regulations and industry best practice standards of the country in which the data was collected.

We may share personal information with service providers that provide services to us in connection with our employment and screening operations.

Where required, your information may be disclosed to law enforcement, regulatory or other government agencies, or other third parties to the extent necessary to comply with legal or regulatory obligations or requests.

STORAGE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION. If you are hired by Teralytics, your personal information collected during the recruitment campaign will be transferred to the employee file.

If you are not hired this time, information that you provided to Teralytics will be retained, as permitted or required by applicable laws, for example, so that Teralytics can contact prior applicants regarding other opportunities.

YOUR RIGHTS AS AN APPLICANT. You may request access to your personal information, including a request to get copies of your personal records, request correction of your personal information or withdraw your consent that you may have provided to the processing of your personal information at any time using contact details provided below.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT OUR PRACTICES

INFORMATION RELATED TO CHILDREN. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of sixteen. If we learn that we may have received information from someone under the age of sixteen, we will take reasonable measures to remove the information.

INFORMATION SECURITY. The protection and security of information is important to us. We use physical, administrative, and technical safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of information. However, no information system can be fully secure. So, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information transmitted to Teralytics.

DO NOT TRACK. Teralytics does not track its customers over time and across third party websites to provide targeted advertising and therefore does not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals.

CHANGES TO THIS NOTICE. We may update this Notice from time to time. Our use of the information we collect is subject to the Notice in place at the time the information is collected. When we update the Notice, we will post the new Notice on our Websites.
