Mobility insights point to post-lockdown outcomes


As governments look to re-open their economies, they should treat their travel hubs with caution. The Economist research using Teralytics’ mobility insights from Italy, Germany and the United States demonstrates that cities’ vulnerability to COVID-19 is proportionate to their connectedness to the outside world.

Across the three countries, areas with higher number of journeys and connections to other places had more infections than the less travelled places.
